Red Hat JBoss BRMS-6.1 - Rule Authoring Using Red Hat JBoss JBDS-7.1.1.GA


1. Create Drools Project in JBDS

  • In JBDS, File > New > Drools Project.

  • Click Next

  • Enter the project name in the Project name Text box and click Next

  • Select the check box next to Add sample project and click Finish

2. DRL Rule Authoring using JBDS

  • In JBDS, under newly created drools project resources folder, create your package to store your rules and select it
  • Right click on the package and use the new rule creating wizard to create the new rule

  • In the dialog box, provide the required information and click Finish
 

  • In the drl editor,implement your rule, and save it.





3. DSL Rule Authoring using JBDS

  • Select rules package and rules project
  • Right click on the package and use the new rule creating wizard to create the new Domain Specific Language and provide the file name for the new dsl script file




  • Select the check box to create new dsl with sample dsl statement



  • It will open a dsl file in dsl editor with sample dsl scripts,



  • Right click on the package and use the new rule creating wizard to create the new rule


  • In the dialog box, provide the required information and select the Use a DSL check box
  • click Finish


  • In the drl editor, replace customLanguage.dsl with the dsl file create in the above steps and save it.
  • Implement the dsl rule based on the dsl statement.

4. Decision Table Rule Authoring using JBDS

  • Right click on the package and use the new rule creating wizard to create the new decision table rule, in the wizard select the Decision Table option


  • Click Next, and provide the file name and click Finish button.
  • This will create a new decision table rule file with sample, you can modify based on your business rule and save it.
